Lineup intelligence for league tennis captains
CaptainAIQ scouts the other team, runs the matchups, and hands you the lineup most likely to win, from the players you actually have that day. Everybody gets their matches. You still win.
Now inviting a first group of Memphis captains.
Your own rating, not NTRP · refreshes weekly · current when you need it
The captain's squeeze
Play your best six every week and the wins pile up, right until your bench stops showing because they never got their matches. Spread it around blindly and you hand away the tie.
Then add real life: who is traveling, who tweaked an ankle, who still has not texted you back. Setting a lineup becomes a weekly headache with a scoreboard attached.
CaptainAIQ lives in exactly that squeeze, so you can field a team that wins and still keep the people who make it a team.
Why you can trust the numbers
Every player's strength is a Power Rating we compute ourselves, from real, public match results. It's our own read, not the official NTRP number.
It refreshes every week and it is current the day you need it. Because we build it from public results, it doesn't break when another site changes what it shows.
What it does
Every feature points at one thing: putting the right players on the right courts, this match and all season.
Run every pairing against their actual roster and get the card with the highest win odds, court by court.
Combo caps, tri-level levels, the mixed one-man-one-woman rule: CaptainAIQ checks every pairing as you build and flags the court the moment a hand-edit breaks a rule, so a bad pairing turns up before you post it, not on match day.
See every opponent on our own strength rating, their recent form, and how their captain actually sets a lineup, read from real scorecards: which pairs they keep together, whether they stack the top court or spread out. Add the read your league already has, shared player notes that get sharper every time another captain plays them, and put any two players side by side to settle who really has the edge. Look up any team by its captain's last name and you get their whole roster ranked by our rating, plus where they sit in the standings, without leaving the page.
Season schedules, venues, and results import automatically and refresh weekly. Open your team and the whole season is already there, wins, losses, and what's next.
Copy a ready-made ask into your group chat; players answer in two taps and the tally fills itself. One more tap nudges whoever's still quiet. Then the lineup builds from who's in: everyone who answered In gets a spot before a single Maybe is borrowed.
Mid-match dispute? Ask the chat. Answers cite the actual USTA handbook and open it at the page. It knows player stats and every Memphis clinic, too.
The Memphis clinics directory: every drill, cardio session, junior program, and clinic open to non-members across the city, verified weekly. Browse it free.
Tap "I need a sub," pick how many spots, and paste the message. The first player to tap "I've got it" claims the spot and everyone else sees it filled. No double bookings, no forty texts at 9pm.
Your card gets re-scored against the different ways their captain could order the courts. If your plan only wins under one guess, we say so, and we name the steadier lineup that holds up whatever they do.
My Team ranks every team in your flight by match record, then by courts won minus lost, with yours highlighted. It updates as results come in, so the playoff picture is one tap away instead of buried in TennisLink. Want another flight? Ask the chat for it.
"Top players by level" ranks any level and gender by our own Power Rating, so you can see who the field really is before you draw them. A player needs 8 or more decided matches to appear, and no losing record sits in the top 10% of a level, so the board reads the way the season actually went. Tap any name for the full card.
Which court a player actually played is the one thing no results feed records. Open a played match, tap your court, and it is logged. That history is what makes the Likely opponent read sharper every week, for your team and everyone else in the flight. You get a note-nudge email after each match, and tapping an opponent's name adds a quick read on them while it is fresh.
Rain, heat, a court double-booked: open the match, tap Reschedule, and set the new date, time, or location. The schedule, the match sheet, and the Add-to-Calendar link all follow it, and the lineup you already posted stays exactly as you set it. Captains and co-captains only.
Anyone on the roster can post to the shared team notepad, so carpools, court changes, and "running ten late" stop getting buried in the group chat. Captains keep a separate private pad that feeds the lineup builder.
Tell us who is available and CaptainAIQ maps your lineups across the whole schedule, not just Saturday. It works in the postseason rules automatically: 2 matches to make the State roster, 3 for Nationals, and flags anyone who is falling behind while your win odds stay high.
For every player, not just the captain
One person fills out the card, but all eighteen of you want to know where you stand and who you are about to play. Every player on the roster gets their own edge, free.
Your tier and your Power Rating: our own strength rating built from real match results (not your NTRP), so you see where you stand and whether you are climbing. Top half of your level and gender? We show your exact place. Below it we skip the placement entirely, because nobody needs to be told they are 214th mid-season.
"Top players by level" ranks your level and gender by our Power Rating. Eight or more decided matches to appear, and no losing record in the top 10%, so it reads like the season actually went. Your card and the board use the same ranking, so the two always agree.
Who you are likely to face next, and your odds against them.
See when you are trending toward the next level, before it happens.
Know exactly how many matches you still need for the State or Nationals roster.
Tell your captain when you can play in a tap. No more group-text roll call.
Size up a rival, a friend, or your next doubles partner.
Tap Share on any player card and it goes straight into a text or your team chat, with their level, Power Rating and record. The link opens the same card, so nobody has to go looking for the player you meant.
Type your name, pick yourself from the matches, confirm your email once. No team hunting, no roster scrolling, and you never have to do it again on that device.
Play on three teams? See them together on one month view, color-coded by team, with same-day clashes flagged in red. Subscribe once and it lands in your phone's calendar.
